Managed hosting pays off when someone else owns patches, SSL, backups and first-line alerts. Without a tested restore, a backup is theoretical — not protection.
Ask in writing for backup frequency, retention, storage location, restore-test process and which monitoring is included. 24/7 support only where the contract covers it.
Automated backups, at least one successful restore test per period, alerts for disk/CPU/uptime and log access when incident response is needed.
